Chino Valley

Chino Valley is a rural town with a great deal of character. Here you’ll find historical landmarks, delicious dining destinations and a much-needed break from all the noise and stress that city life can bring upon us.

The town got its name from the Spanish word “chino,” which means curly, and describes the grama grass that is prevalent in the area. In Chino Valley, you can enjoy miles and miles of beautiful scenery, fresh air and a refreshing and calm atmosphere. It is no wonder why it has become a popular place among retirees as well as those who want to leave the big city behind.

Numerous Housing Options

There’s a wide range of real estate and housing options available in Chino Valley. Buyers can choose from large-acreage lots to apartments to luxury homes in well-established communities and newer gated communities. If you’d like to keep horses or try your hand at gardening or small-scale farming, you will find plenty of suitable properties here. Master-planned communities range from those like Parkside Village and Highlands Ranch, which feature smaller lot sizes, to those like Appaloosa Meadows, where lots are typically more than an acre in size.

Outdoor Lifestyle

With an elevation of over 4,700 feet above sea level, Chino Valley is blessed with a mild four-season climate. Just about any time of the year is perfect for outdoor recreational activities like hiking, swimming, cycling and horseback riding. Since it’s located less than two hours north of Phoenix, you can easily take a day trip to the city or you can head to the Grand Canyon instead, which is about the same distance to the north.

Vibrant Economy

The local economy is driven by the construction, service and supply industries, with very lucrative opportunities as well for farming and agriculture. There are plenty of retail shops and restaurants as well as parks, sports facilities and ball fields. Chino Valley also has the fifth largest public library in Yavapai County, has excellent health care and educational facilities, and a vibrant and growing entrepreneurial landscape that we can look forward to as it continues to develop and grow.
